hello all,

i was wondering if there is a computer chess game that you can program or maybe it already exists, where you can play book lines of an opening, over and over again. the idea being that i play the london system repeatedly against all book lines until i learn them. i think that would be an easier way then trying to memorize over the board. i am thinking about trying to make a game like this but i was looking for ideas.

i got the idea from looking at an analysis the computer was doing on previous game, i tried to stay to a specific opening (lion) and there were other things that the computer showed were better. these other options didnt come to mind however. so an idea was to have an ongoing analysis of a game. the player would pick a game of only five moves against a computer, each taking a turn as normal. after the five moves the computer would show the best result. the idea being that the beginner player would see moves that are better than what a beginner would usually see.
