Proof that chomping on hanging pieces will get you to 2400 blitz

people need to know how easy it is to get to 2400 blitz on this site. just shuffle your pieces around mindlessly until you opponent hangs a piece.

I thought I was the only one who noticed how literally every blitz game in the 2000s is just decided by who can gobble up the most hanging pieces. I am glad you have finally silenced these low rated trolls by providing undeniable proof.
you seem intelligent

Ok we get it, stop bragging how 2400 elo players hang pieces. We hope we get opponents that mindlessly hang pieces, instead of actually playing good.

I think it's actually easier to play in the 2400s range than getting to 1000. Because the player pool under 1000 is filled with cheaters, smurfs, hackers, and people playing at 90+ accuracy while games at 2000 are just decided by who can hang a piece last

I play with 900 elo blitz players and they play fantastic, and then I see these 2000+ elo players and they hang pieces, which normally, should be the opposite.
The games at higher levels are generally more complicated, with more threats and ideas looming under the surface. Sometimes players get lost looking ahead and miss the obvious blunders right in front of them.
We all do it, now and then. Even Hikaru and Magnus have been known to drop a piece here or there ...

honestly... thats kinda right.

people above 1900 only make tactical mistakes about once every 20 games, most games at advanced levels are decided by strategy and knowledge of what results occur from what endgames
This is not true. I have been nearly 2000 in blitz, but I do not play nearly that well. Usually, I screw up at least once per game.

that is my exact point.

It's not about rating. It's about blitz. The fast timer makes players rush, and rushing is how we miss things.
Even the OP himself (Chomper) hangs his pieces in blitz, too. We all do.
