Proposed Chessboxing Variant

After making his move, the player has a free punch at his opponent with both still seated. The opponent can try to duck the punch but is not allowed to block it with his hands. Sounds a bit more like a realistic chess variant to me.

This is genius (as long as you're allowed to throw the punch at any time when it's not your move.) Not knowing when it's coming is the key. Maybe you should try to move really fast to avoid the punch. Or if you're the puncher, you wait until you sense your opponent is in his deepest through processes, then lay him out...but wait too long and it will be an opportunity missed!

I have a serious idea. Chess / UFC/ backgammon.

There will be weight classes. If the chess game is drawn, then there will be 3 UFC rounds. No judges. If both combatants are still standing, then backgammon.

You have all 3 elements of life, brain, brawn, and chance.
