puzzle 6/22/18

I am confused by the solution to this puzzle as it resolves with whites h8 rook unprotected on the attack, leaving white in a terrible position. Am I missing something?

But then it's stalemate, a draw, because white has no legal moves.
Thank you for clearing that up. Thought I saw a chance for white to up the exchange but missed something.
