you just made my day man
queen is imbalanced

Also, what's with both sides having the same kind of units? Doesn't it make the game really boring? Maybe we could have a wider selection of units with different point values? Really overpowered units could be worth as much as 40-50 points. Then you could limit the maximum value of each side's army, just you can limit game time. There could also be more mission objectives other than checkmating the other king.
Why not just give every piece levels. Pawn already has a level cap of 2. When it reaches the end of the board, it get's enough EXP to become a Queen. Knight could just become a rook.
Or if you want to go overboard, add some d20 dices to the game. Everytime you move, you have to make a skill check. And if you want to capture, you have to throw those dices and beat the defensive roll.
Oh and Black and White is pretty racist so from now one, they should all be gray
The Pawn community's theorycrafting think tank has been complaining about all these Poisoned Pawn variations for years. We think the Queen definitely needs to get hit by the nerfbat next patch.
I would like to see some PVE servers and a party system. Now I have to move all the characters myself. It would be awesome to play in a 16 member party. I would also see some NPCs. And maybe a class system. Of course there should be pets too.

Maybe pawns, kings, queens and bishops could actually ride on knights and rooks. This would introduce a new "2x capture" system where first capture results the mounted rook or knight to be taken, leaving the riding unit in the square. Would certainly introduce some new tactics!

Mission objective: climb the escalator of truth before you oppponents anti-escalator tanks blow you off the side. Cilmbing the escalator grants you 4 points toward unlocking the key to the first door that leads into the maze of wonder. In the maze of wonder ou can only move backwards, and if your not careful you will fall into the pit of doom...

if falling into the pit of doom one must fight off six extra pooks (pawn rook mutations) which move like a rook and attacks like a pawn.

Queens are fine l2play. The two problems chess has is obviously all the NPCs and that it's PVP only. Sometimes I just want to move my pawns into a nice formation and some 12 year old comes along and kills my rook and my knight. RP servers would be nice too.
This made my day :D I also try to make a nice looking formation but a fucking some of enemy piece break into my nice looking formation, moreover;I loose the game in the end.I just wanna have fun,in my opinion. Why is it happening like that :( Chess is not fun.

Actually the Queen is the worst piece on the board right after the king, because if e queen is constantly under attack then most of the time, the player with the attacked queen loses. Kinda like like a checkmate against a queen...

What if the goal was to capture enough pieces to get materials and build your castles to win?

you're thinking of Warhammer
I've been playing a lot of chess recently, and I've noticed that the queen is definitly overpowered. There hasnt been a patch in a REALLY long time, and queen is in serious need of a nerf. The vast majority of strats involve the queen, and I don't expect pros to stop abusing it without major changes to it's mechanics. Maybe give it a max range of 5 units, and give it the knight's movement to compensate. The last time a patch influenced the queen, it was giving the ability to be broght back almost endlessly, furthur increasing its brokeness. If the movement changes are too drastic, maybe a simple reversion to an earlier version of chess would be enough. The fact that a game where someone won without their queen playing a major role ended up a famous game alone should bring at least some attention to the matter. When can we expect a new version of chess, and who would be chosen to balance test it before it's released?
