queen or rook
Rook and here's why:
A queen by itself moves like a rook AND a bishop and is worth 9 material. So queen, right? WRONG!! You start with 2 rooks, and both together are 10 POINTS! Also, there's castling which protects the king AND activates a powerful piece. And if you're thinking,"Oh JuSt PrOmOtE aNd YoU hAvE 9 qUeEnS." WRONG AGAIN YOU 400 ELO PLONKER!!! You see, if you are a human and like to develop every piece, not just the nights, you move your pawns. However, early game, if you aren't careful with your pawns, you can get ur whole army DESTROYED and/or have a TERRIBLE pawn structure. This can lead to either slower promotions, or none entirely. Additionally, if you lose your queen to a blunder but still have your rooks, You can perform various tactics and even checkmate with both the rooks without your king. "Oh WhAt If YoU lOsE oNe Of ThE rOoKs AnD tHe QuEeN?!" <-- (Inaccuracy reference lol) TALK TO ME WHEN YOU ARE ABOVE 400 ELO because even if you lose both a queen and rook, you can STILL deliver checkmate, although harder. "WhAt If YoU lOsE aLl Ur PiEcEs?" Then either you suck, you never heard of stalemate, or both. So, I choose rook
You?
