Queen sac for pawn best move???

The computer Says Qxg2+ is the best move for black. I know there's a revealed check after this but it gets you nothing. Why on earth does the computer recommend this move???

While this is an even exchange of material, it also has the benefit of damaging whites kingside pawn structure and activating blacks light squared bishop.  It might be a little tricky playing against the pawn majority on the queenside.

The interposition 3. Qe4 seems better though.

3. Qe4, Nxe4, and if 4. Nxe4, then f5 and black is in a much better position then if f3 was played instead. I think....

Right, missed this pinning resource. The movement 3...Nxe4 unpins the f7 Black pawn.
