Should I play the queen's gambit?

Opening selection is surprisingly complicated and nobody can realistically do it for you. "You find your path by walking it", seems to be very appropriate here. I don't think it would contrubute much to your understading of the Queen's Gambit, but Openings for Amateurs by Pete Tamburro might serve as an introduction to the issues related to opening selection along with teaching you some useful stuff.

I play the queen's gambit in all of my games. But you have to try different openings and find out what suits you best.Queen's gambit may or may not suit you,so you have to play a few games and find out.If it does, then great. If it does't,look for a new one like the ruy lopez.

So, I should play it then?

It is certainly a reasonable possibility to try, but it should be kept in mind that it might turn out to be not right for you or not right for you at this time. "For players with very limited experience, I recommend using openings in which the play can be clarified at an early stage, often with a degree of simplification. ... you will have to get used to playing with open lines for both sides' pieces ... teachers all over the world suggest that inexperienced players begin with 1 e4. ..." - IM John Watson in a section of his 2010 book, Mastering the Chess Openings Vol. 4

It's online chess and you have nothing to lose (exept the game).

Give it a try, it won't hurt.

Play whatever opening you're comfortable with. If you like to play the Queen's Gambit, go ahead and play it!

I still haven't deeply studied the Qs gambit, but I will def say that in my limited experience, it's the most straightforward d4 play for both white and black to understand as a beginner or lower-rated player.

The other d4 stuff like Benoni, Benko, Grunfeld, Kings Indian, is a lot easier to go way wrong with if you don't know specific lines, and you can easily get yourself into lost positions despite playing 'normal' moves against someone who knows what they're doing. It's a lot harder to get totally lost in the QG as white or black as the position is more solid and logical and easier to play - you don't need a lot of counterintuitive moves just for equality unlike those other openings.

I still play the QG as black regularly with zero theory against people who are obviously booked up on it, but it's so solid that you will likely get far out of book by the time the middlegame starts so it's not a big deal. In contrast, I got absolutely wrecked (and still do) if I experiment with those other lines without at least knowing more than a few critical response lines, esp as black.
