You get 1 second on your clock after each move. Rather, you start with 2 minutes and get 1 second after each move.

Yes, so if you take 3 seconds for your first move, the clock will add the increment of 1 second bonus time to the normal 1:57 so your clock will say 1:58. It will continue to do that each move. If you want to gain a bunch of time really quickly, you can use pre-moves to maximize your increment bonus.
