365.
They send me an e-mail. I don't know if you can request them to send you a letter in the mail.
You used to get a card, I'm not sure if they still do that. I've had TDs ask me to write down my ID number for them. I've never been asked for a state ID card (that I can remember).
To combat GMs sucking out the money as an unrated player usually unrated players aren't eligible for most cash prizes.
Hey guys, I have a quick question I was struggling to find an awnser online to. I would like to join the USCF. Many reasons why one would join, I don't want to debate why or why not. MY QUESTION, if I sign up for the yearly membership, is the yearly membership good for 365 days from sign up? OR, does it run by date? Example, if I signed up today would my membership be good until 11-8-16 or would it expire 12-31-15 and I would have to renew on New Years. I don't want to pay the fee just to have to renew in less than 2 months. When it's time to renew will they notify me? Or do I have to remember to renew ahead of time? SECOND QUESTION, if I got to a tournament how does the director or organizer know I'm a member? Do I get a card to show? Or do I give them my drivers license and they look me up? How can one confirm I'm an idiot newbie and not a GM signing up for an "under 1200". Thanks for any responses guys.
