Question from a low-skilled player
Your opponent would kill your king first, so the game would end and your rook would not have the time to kill the black king.
Thanks for the clarification. I hadn't run into that scenario before. Makes sense when you explain it that way.
Its a glitch in chess.com, they did that to make you lose. Only paying members can take the bishop in that scenario.

Dude I know you're joking but try not to confuse people asking genuine questions, yeah?

I asumed that he was trolling, but even if he wasn't every other reply said that thats just the rules, so I assume he knows Im joking.

Hello. I am not a great player. I recebtly played a game in which many bad moves were played (so please ignore that lol). But I have a legitimate question. I had the following position in my game (below). I was white, and it was my turn to play. I attempted to make the move Kxd5. The website did not allow this move, which was confusing to me. I understand that I cannot move my king into check, but I had thought if the attacking piece (in this case the black knight) was pinned, it would still be an acceptable move. Is there a rule I don't know about where even if the attacking piece is pinned, you still cannot move into "check"? Or, is there some other factor here I am missing? It is quite possible since I am a poor chess player. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
