Can someone please tell me the process of FIDE registration(as a player) in India because I found it nowhere on internet.

Depends on how much money you promise to pay them.
Ìf enough you can be the president before the end of the year.

Should lead here  http://www.fide.com/component/fidedirectory/?task=country&fid=66

Then finally here  http://www.indianchessfed.org/

You should be able to get help finding sanctioned tournaments.

Real simple,just go to the tournament venue and fill a couple forms,pay Rs 500 and it is done.
