Why was my game drew? It said insufficient material. i had a knight and my king, of course, and he had his king

Can't mate with just a knight.

It is impossible to checkmate a lone king with only a knight and a king, therefore it is a draw.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  I played a game recently and the guy ran out of time, but it said it was a draw because I didn't have sufficient material.  Oh, well - a draw is better than a loss.
