Questions about USCF

I am about to go to my first uscf rated tournament (Quads) but I have some questions about pairings. So in quads your are organized by rating but what if i'm unrated? I am really hoping i dont get put in the bottom because if i only have 400's to play against then that would be annoying because i cant really get close to my 2200 goal and its a pretty spendy tournament without cash prizes. Also are there any tips on preparing openings? and are there any good tips on having a good "psych" in the tournament? (not being nervous, recovering from a loss)

Quads are paired in rating groups. Top 4, then next, and so on. Unrateds will be paired in the bottom group.
