It's a variation I invented. No captures are allowed until after move 10. I originally made it to help practice tactics(because every time I play, both sides invariably develop, castle and and annex a lot of space, which means that after move 10 the position is on the brink of erupting into a large tactical melee where material is king and eventually everything will be simplified into an endgame), but I found that it was not un-fun to play, especially when players caught on to the theme and made ordinarily ridiculous moves(like hanging queens) because it can't get captured, in order to improve their position for the upcoming war. Needless to say, hanging the queen is just an intermediate move to airlift it to a wonderful attacking position.
