Raising the floor

I'm approximately 1600 FIDE. I feel like I'm improving every tournament; my good games are getting better, I'm getting more competitive with stronger players and I've gone from struggling against 1700 FIDE rated players to drawing 2000s.

While my roof is rising, my floor seems less interested in playing along. When my form is off, my level drastically drops to perhaps around 1400 hunderes, perhaps lower. If my good games are great, my bad games are terrible, and I've realised I'm giving players lower rated than me far more opportunities than I should.

What can I do to raise my floor?

Well, if you want to raise your floor above ground level, you need to have a solid foundation.

Let's examine that foundation.

Unfortunately, you just joined 11 minutes ago-- so you have no foundation.

/ If you want people to help with your game, they have to be able to see your games.
