I tried it a bit... and was reminded that depending on how you randomize it, you can end up with a lot of pawn moves tongue.png

If it was a human trying to beat it as fast as possible, it would be like 7 moves average

But the engine goes for best moves over threatening mate every time so closer to 20 moves for it

Yeah.... one time I tried a handicap bullet game... the rule was I wasn't allowed to capture anything (lol)

But when the opponent knows this rule beforehand it's basically impossible to win.

That's unlikely to ever happen for multiple reasons, but yeah, quantum computing will be interesting... mostly for the impact on cyber security.
