Rapid Chess YouTube Podcast

Been jotting down a couple ideas for a chess podcast I’m hoping to launch on YouTube before the end of this month.

I love chess and have been playing daily for about 10 years. I am not the greatest player out there but I know how to hold my own.

The objective of this podcast would be to expose more people to the game of chess in a fun way.

I would invite people onto the podcast and we’d sit down for a match of chess best 2/3 5 minutes on the chess clock.

For each game they win receive 50$. Receiving 50$ for winning a 5 minute chess game is a great incentive for people to want to attend the podcast and then afterwards even tell their friends about the podcast.

If they don’t win at all then they receive merchandise like a sweater a hat or wristband

While we play I would be asking them random questions to try and break their focus a bit but not too much.

Podcast would go live every other Friday & each week I would try to change the venue we’d be playing & recording at or maybe introduce a new chess board we’d play on.

Any pointers thoughts or feedback on this idea would be much appreciated

thats a nice idea but 5 min chess isnt rapid. 

That’s very true then I could make the matches 10 min on the clock

Also I recommend having someone monitoring the game and seeing if cheats are being used.
