@Llama I didn't take dxc5 as I don't know opening theory much. I play more on feel ( which is a terribly habit obviously but I'm stuck with it.
Yeah, that was my impression, that you're playing a lot on feel.
But after your last post I see that playing by feel doesn't mean you don't put some thought into it. It just means you're lacking some combination of calculation and study.
By the way I don't think you're "stuck" with it at all. Play long time controls and read chess books. Solve puzzles with no time limit where you challenge yourself to find all of the opponent's reasonable defensive tries and refute them.
@Laskersnephew I want to know whether it'll be worth for me to pursue chess professionally ( I dream of being a titled player not as a livelihood obviously) or not. I don't have a coach or anything. I'm just an amateur
I have no idea! I wish I could give you some good advice, but I just don't know enough about you--none of us do. Some advice I can give you is to play as often as you can, particularly at the slowest time controls where you can easily find opponents. When it becomes possible again, you should make an effort to join your local chess association and to play in real over-the-board tournaments. You may find out that you don't love chess as much as you would have to, if you really want to make a career of it.
