Rating of Fritz & ChessMaster?

I want to test "GetClub Chess" with higher versions of Fritz and Chess Master.

Currently, I have free version of Fritz 5.32. I play it against a new program "GetClub Chess". I find "GetClub Chess" plays as good as Fritz 5.32. Whats the rating of Fritz 5.32?

How good is Fritz 8 and Fritz 9 in comparision to Fritz 5.32?

What is the rating of ChessMaster?

I will play "GetClub Chess" with higher versions to see if it plays as good as them or not.

"GetClub Chess" is free Chess playing program. It has got 5 levels.

Baby Level [2 sec / move]

Beginner Level [10 sec / move]

Easy Level [40 sec / move]

Normal Level  [3 min / move]

Does anyone here has Fritz8 / Fritz9 and let me know how well GetClub played against it?

If this isn't a shameless plug for you site and you actually want to learn something check out http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/4040/

Fritz 9 is listed at 2844
"Fritz 8 bilabo" at 2800

I can't find a rating estimate for Fritz 5.32 but it's so free and so old I dunno -- I'd guess 2400? 2500?  With free programs out there to dl like toga, fruit, and now the IPPOLIT family, rated above 3000, no serious chess player is going to be interested in something called "getclub chess" even if it's levels go all the way from way down low at the "baby" setting and so high to a "normal" setting.

Spoiler: Fritz 8 / 9 wins every game.

Sanny,

Since I used to see your "GetClub" threads on the chess newsgroups on Usenet, I thought it might be interesting to play Fritz 9 against your program.  Unfortunately, your program lost.

I gave Fritz 20 minutes to play the whole game, and I played against your program at its highest setting.  Fritz had ~11 minutes left on the clock at the end.

This was a quick win,

I suppose you play a few more games. Give Fritz 9 - Just [2 sec/move] vs the GetClub - Easy Level. Then I think the games will be equal. I would like to know, how much extra time is needed by GetClub to win a game against Fritz 9.

Sorry, but I don't have the time to keep playing these engine matches.

You could download Toga II -- which is freeware and (I believe) stronger than Fritz 9 -- and do these comparisons yourself.  :)

Both are monsters.  Most programs are these days to the normal player.
