Rating To Stream?

Streams arent about rating, its about having fun with people who like to watch you have fun and joy in playing chess which many like seeing you for

Well not me (connection issues) but still its not about the ratings or viewers its about how much fun you have while doing the streaming

Rating doesn't matter
Back when i watched streamers, my fav streamers were always lower rated
YEAH EXACTLY
That's a funny recurring thing...
Chess is the only game people seem concerned about being good so that they can stream.
If there was a new game out like Hollow Knight Silksong, for instance. Would you be willing to stream the game without knowing anything? Or would you care to learn all the secrets in advance and get good enough so that you can beat all the bosses first try just so your viewers can view a better experienced player playing the game instead? I bet you wouldn't care not knowing anything about the game before streaming.
But somehow it seems people don't want to stream chess just because "they are bad" or something... It's just a game like any other... You are not required to be good at a game to stream it.

I agree. While some people like to watch the streams to learn more about chess from very strong players, most of those people would be watching titled chess players' streams. For the most part I think people who watch chess streams watch for entertainment. I don't think entertainment is dependant on your rating. I say go for it @ChessPawn921

Also i would say not to cuss since then lots of people can't watch you. Which is the thing with @GothemChess since he curses a lot and so I can't watch him.
I dont think you need a good rating.
I would just say to also have new idea's like doing wierd varients since I haven't seen a single streamer do that yet. Just an Idea
Hello —
I am considering streaming chess soon, and am wondering what a good rating is to start. I think I should start at 1500, but you might have different viewpoints, which is why I’m asking.
Also, how can I quickly get good enough to reach 1500?
