initially rating changes are massive then after you play some good amount of games "i assume 50" it normalizes for +-8 for near rated players
it varies if player is much higher rated or lower rated

I have a rating in 10 min games of 1000 to 1100. Five minutes bounces between 725 and 450. Is it unusual to go so far +/- in 5 minute games?
