A rating which you deem to be good is a good rating. It varies across players, but in my opinion it's a 1500 if I assign a value.
Ratings what's a good rating?

Age
Time playing
Study Program (if there is any)
Exposure to chess nationally (can have a mental factor if your country has a big or small role in chess)

My rating in daily is 1309 which puts me in the 90.6% percentile. I'd say that's good but it's a HUGE step to advanced or great.

I guess a decent rating will be 1500. 1130 is an intermediate, still good hope you will improve soon! My rapid is 1300s but I don't play rapid much, my rating should be around 1400s from the data.

Personally, I find 800 to be a "good" rating. Everyone in the world knows some chess, and an 800 is going to absolutely dominate anybody who has played some chess, but never participated in a tournament or a chess club. An 800 is better than like 90% of people who played chess, and I think people should be proud to achieve that.
Of people who play chess in tournaments, a class D player, which is 1200 ~ 1399, is better than 75% of chess players who play in tournaments, and even though that is a low rating compared to GMs. That is nothing to laugh at.

Whatever rating you are satisfied with your games playing at. A "strong" rating would be a different question...

My chess history only includes a few random games with friends and family.....nothing serious. As a 76 year old retiree, I recently jumped into the game on chess.com and have played about 170 games, raising my rating from 400 to (currently) 1068. My age doesn't seem to hinder me, but my "retired" status is a huge advantage. For me to play 5 (or more) games in a day is just not a problem....still leaving plenty of time for woodworking, hiking, yard work, etc. Speaking of woodworking, I have made a couple chessboards....very fun projects.

Take your own peak rating and add 200. That’s a good rating. When you reach it, repeat the formula.
So 3000 is a good rating for Carlsen (jk, know what you meant)
He seems to think so.

To be honest to get a 900 rating means in chess in real life your pretty good and tournament standard for juniors and a good tournament standard for junior playing
A good rating would be 1200, since you will get pretty much of the basics of chess. A greater rating is 1600 where you get advanced things about chess. A much greater is 2000 where you are pretty much expert that is better than most people. 2400 comes after that which is quite the highest rating which means you are close to master chess (Note that master here doesn’t mean you have mastered chess, but you are close to master level.)
My rating in rapid is 1,130 what's a good rating for you guys?
