REACHED BLITZ 1100!!!

Now, I know that THAT sounds like nothing to be proud of. However, I am very happy. This is my short story...

When I started playing on chess.com, I had never played chess seriously before. Mainly against myself...I was like that. Then, I began playing on chess.com and discovered time controls. I was given a rating of 1200 for daily, blitz, bullet and rapid, and I more or less was up to that standard...except for blitz.

I was terrible at blitz. I tried to play it like bullet: premove and the such. I was so bad that I hung pieces left and right. I was tacticless. I usually lost when I had like 2 minutes or more left. So, when my blitz rating hit the 500s, I decided to stick with bullet.

Then, I learnt that bullet is really bad for your chess. Now, my goal is to get better and better, so I swore of bullet. I began to go back to blitz, and longer time controls. I soon brought my rating back to the 700s to the 800s.

After learning and applying some tactics such as discovered attacks and the such (usually on my opponents queen and king) I brought my rating to 900+. As I gained more opening experience, as well as endgame (although it is still primarily preliminary), my rating went over 1000.

I was really happy, but felt that it wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, I was stuck there for the longest time. I gained like 2 points per blitz session. Finally, I began to stop hanging pieces...although I occasionally did. Then, I beat two 1500 rated players in blitz, and went on a small winning steak that sent me over 1100!!!

I’m still trying to stick there, but I reached it. Yay!

The next goal is 1300!

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately, I played in a tournament, and lost to people rated 1300+, 1400+, 1500+, and 1200+! Chess.com made me play with all of them! I lost every time. Now I have gone under 1100 again, but I will get it back up!
