Reading Waitzkin's book

Reading Josh Waitzkin's The Art of Learning. Highly recommended. He was interviewed by Tim Ferris, the dude who is known for biohacking and also used modafinil.

Anyways, I am starting a thread because it seems you can always reset your tactics trainer. Is it possible to shoot from unrated to 2000+  in five moves? Problem is the increasing difficulty of the problems even though in the beginning you can acquire ratings like candy.

So I failed with that. Then again 2000 is chumps change compared to 3000 rated tacticians I saw. These are the Miyamoto Musashis of the forum; you wished you never knew they existed.

Sigh. What a downer.

Many of the 3000 rated TT guys are cheats. There is a well publicized way to hack the TT, so I would suggest you dismiss them. There are also many guys with high TT ratings here, but very poor blitz/bullet. Try Chess24 TT, it's much faster than the one here....you only have 10 secs to solve each puzzle. If you take 9 secs, you probably get only 1 point. You fail, and your points drop a lot.....wonderful.
