The analyses that came along with my chess.com membership has opened my eyes as to my real abilities. First, I was able to see that at my mid to low 1600 rating, my wins were against players with averages in the upper 1400s and losses to those averaging in the low 1600s. But the the real shocker--- Game Analysis shows that 25% of my moves against better rated players were mistakes and about the same % were inaccuracies. Yikes. A couple of months ago, I had gotten up to the high 1600s and was thinking I was headed to a 1700 rating. Now I'm able to see how much better I need to be in order to get up to that level.
