Fischer turned into quite the redneck imo.  And, yes, it was after he lost his looks.

I was given a chess book for Christmas one year, Ursprung und Wandlung der something Or another. It is currently under a leg of the kitchen table to keep it level. Damn useful book!

I used the "can opening" against my girl earlier. it didn't have a name before, but I wanted to sound high flaunting too. So the can opening...I move my first piece and she sees what she can do to counter it. Next thing you know I'll be wearing a hefner jacket, smoking a pipe and pulling out that chess book that's keeping the table from wobbling!

THese thread are the best thing since Christmas. They really give on an opportunity to vent. We have rednnex and decsendants thereof, we have PC ponies, metroids and hipsters and chess nerds, Serious academics, nasty and vidictive trolls, pervs and stalkers.  Bikers, car freaks, hippies, bankers and wankers...and surfers!!!  And we have some of the coolest and nicest people I have ever met.Jeez. It's the whole ugly/ beautiful world in microcosm. I am reluctant to get in a twisty about any of it really. Argue yes..fight?..no. But there is one thing that really gets on my tits about this joint. This "international" crap. JUst about every person I have met that put "international" as their "state" has been a tosser. BUt hey that's just me.
