I don't know about the site, but being 1800 rated on chess.com roughly equals to being 1500 rated OTB. Some will have higher and other will have lower rating, but that's medium. So if you want to be real 1800 go and compete OTB or be 2100 rated here. There are few forums out there already discussing rating differences between different sites and you should check them out if you don't find your answer here. I also like to play here more because rating feel more realistic and deserved in a way if I can express myself like that. That's way its harder to get them.

I wasn't really expecting their to be such a big difference in ratings from site to site. But on 1 site I casually beat 15-1600's, and on this site I lose to 1450's. (Some of them even might NOT be doing that thing we're not allowed to mention even though it's endemic to online chess.)
I wonder what's behind the differences. It seems implausible there's just that kind of difference in the quality of player, especially given most player seem to play at different sites.
I kinda wish I'd not come here. It was nice thinking I was an 1800 player.
But I'm going to stay here, because I'd like to be a REAL 1800 player.
Unless there's a site where a .com 1800 rating equals 1500?
