Will trolls like you ever grow up? Where in earth did it say the world revolves around me? Thats just your wild false assumption over a simple rematch, with a different color mind you. I give rematches WIN or lose. Thats right, go look at my games played. I send or accept rematches even after ive WON. This thought is lost on cowards like you. Play with both colors, WIN or lose.

You don't know what the word 'coward' means, son. When I served in combat, you were probably safe and sound in your parents' home ― heroically accepting rematch requests. Give me a break.

You served in combat? Just out of curiosity, how old are you?

Rams, don't you think it's inappropriate to ask me personal questions on somebody else's rematch thread?  wink.png

Good man. Of course I served in combat. I didn't consider that question personal but I already answered it. By the way, I trust that you've been gathering some jokes in preparation for #8000?

Debistro

It's very simple. Those who don't rematch as a rule, are those who are afraid to know if they might lose in a stretch to the same person. Win, lose, or draw, it's *best* not to play the same person again so that they won't ever have to know the truth. That is really all there is to this no rematch policy. The psychological reasoning behind it. That is really the summary.....

You did answer my question before?

No, you didn't ask before but I said that I served in combat and you responded by asking if I served in combat.

You think it's simple but that's because you're an experienced psychiatrist. I think your analysis is brilliant! Until you enlightened me, I thought I declined rematches because I don't like the sort of people who request them. But now I understand the real reason is I'm willing to take a chance of going 0-1 against an opponent but if I win, I'm not willing to take a chance of ending up 1-1. Basically, I have an irrational fear of the second game. No doubt you attribute this fear of mine to some childhood experience. I can't think of anything off hand. I wonder why I didn't quit college after my freshman year. Hell, I was up 1-0! At the time, I didn't realize what a chance I was taking by enrolling in my sophomore year!

Curious how "rematch whiners" actually whine.  Do they leave messages on your home page?  Send a a message in chat, or what?  Haven't had the pleasure yet.

They don't leave messages on my home page or send me messages in game chat, but that's because I only allow friends to do either. But yeah, they do both when allowed. They also create threads to whine about being denied their God-given right to rematches. For instance, jay_00, the brave warrior who always accepts rematches no matter if he wins or loses, created the thread Never seen so many cowards on 1 site.

Right, so i wrote thread over a year ago about it and ive been on this site for 8 years. So pointing out a clearly obvious fact 1 time in 8 years means im whining? Man, what a warped mind you have.

Whats funny is that you probably have typed more comments about rematch whiners this week alone than i have posted messages of any kind in these forums in my whole 8 years on this site. Clearly YOU are the whiner.

Just one time, huh? You've conveniently forgotten your other thread ― Might as well use white only.

Perhaps reading your initial post will help refresh your memory:

"My stats say ive played 130 more games with black. This is due to all the cowards that get 1 win with white and then run away ducking a rematch (gotta love when those cowards leave, then you hit new match and you get matched up against the same person, and they move too fast out of habit and cant abort game so they are forced to play you lol). Anyway, since my records way better with white, i figure i just should play 130 games with white only to even out my record. That way itll give me a fair idea of what my actual rating is and ill most likely crack 1900."

Rematch warriors are too dumb to see the obvious:

  • that in competitive chess from kids tourneys all the way up to world championship rematches just doesn't exist
  • that rematches were introduced in internet chess as a convenient way to continue playing against same opponent when both players want it
  • that declining a rematch doesn't require any excuse just same as asking a rematch doesn't require any excuse. It's a very simple dialog: "Would you like to play another game?" - "No, thank you".
  • that automatic pairing at chess.com will make you play about same number of games with white and black on the long run
  • that losing one game against an anonymous opponent is meaningless in assessing your relative playing strength

Ok im sorry, TWO times in 8 years. Thats still constitutes as whining, or pointing out facts? Ive had maybe 30 messages in forums my whole life, meanwhile youre out here writing probably 20 posts a week about other whiners lol.
