Rematch or not? a question of fairplay?

players have the right to accept or not I man thats all I have to say

If you can level best of three is a good few games

at this point you’re just forcing people to accept your games

I will usually be starting another game, but for the times I did accept a rematch I lost every time except for once. You would expect a 50-50 outcome. Makes you wonder......

In casual play, players may have limited time and prefer to move on to different opponents or games.

The spirit of chess is what I give to it. Everyone plays chess in the spirit they want. There are those who see playing chess as a personal challenge against another, and there are those who are interested in the game itself ; there are those who imagine they are having a duel, and there are those who imagine they are solving some kind of abstract problem ; there are those who see chess as an extremely serious thing, and those who see it as a fun pastime… and so on, we could go on forever. The only thing we need to agree on when we meet to play chess is respect for the rules of the game. After that, in those 32 pieces and in what we do with them, everyone puts in the spirit they want.

Is it that difficult to accept ?

well, chess takes a lot of time and brain effort. if they don’t want to rematch, let them be. why make such a fuss on a rematch request?

Maybe there is a misanderstanding… My question "Is it that difficult to accept?" it does not refer to the rematch request, but to the concept I expressed before the question. For me too it makes no sense to expect the opponent to accept a rematch request. If you read carefully my post, and the entire thread from the beginning, you'll see it.

you have to be specific. to accept what? to me it looks like the question is: how hard is it the accept a rematch?
