Hmm, I never use the "Engines --> Load Engine" feature. It does appear to be a bug.
I always use "Engines --> Manage --> Details --> Delete". That one always works for me.

Those steps do not actually uninstall an added engine, like StockFish in Arena Chess. While resident engines are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Arena\Engines\, additional engines like StockFish are hidden.
As a test, I "deleted" Stockfish in Arena; but this action merely deleted the name from the list. The deleted engine is quickly reloaded from the toolbar; if it were truly removed, it could not be reloaded without a fresh installation.
After you install an engine in Arena, it will be added to a list of engines under 'Load Engine'. Is there a way to remove some of those engines? There is a 'delete' button, but that does not seem to remove engines from the list.
