Kosovo also isn't recognised by the UN. Accoriding to UN resolution 1244 Kosovo is Serbia. But I doubt a website on the internet can't put whatever flags. I don't know who you are going to reported them to and for what.
Report chess.com for the Catalonia, Basque and Galicia flags

This is a serious issue. Why you dont have flags of California, Idaho or Essex but you do of the Spanish autonomies??? WTF is that? I am goingto report chess.com till this issue is fixed.
Actually its missing the Valencian country flag, but I have to use the catalan to represent my nationality.
As you know, the Spanish constitution recognises these teriitories as historical NATIONS, with a special level of autonomy in the federal state.
You see? You cant brush away 800 years of history by imoosing Madrid centrism and even if Spanish is mandatory and imposed I choose to speak Valencian because thats my Nationality. id rather not be bilingual, I already speak French and English
Well...
Honestly, never thought i was going to talk about this in chess.com; but i'm going to share my opinion and remark some points:
1. If somebody is worried about flags... i mean different from "flagging" (time)...here...Just good luck to you.
2. Valencian is not your nationality, and of course, is not a country. You can feel whatever and wherever, but the reality is another one. This is not an opinion. And i would be glad if you show your id card / passport for the comunity chess
3. You don't understand nothing about Spanish Constitution. And, for sure, can't exist a "Nation of Nations"...It's just a logical thing (you could go further about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdqzoRmkwsI).
4. Languages...Well...Nobody speaks Latin today (not even the Church comunity), and for me is ok...Somebody thinks their culture will be lost and it is sad...But in my opinion, languages are for comunicating...I mean...play the King's Gambit is ok(i love it)...but nobody plays it seriously...Is a Romantic thing...
5. You should learn about History...¿Brush away 800 year history?...Please...Valencia is a great place, with a lot of history (i go often). People speaks Spanish and are really gently. If you want to go to historical discussion, for me is ok.
So...for the people not leaving in Spain:
Spain is a great country, with many regions, culture, gastronomy, monuments, people...party ....And many more: from Barcelona to Cadiz; from Valencia to Santiago, from Toledo to Bilbao...etc...etc...etc...
You're always welcome.

Don't bother reporting to Chess.com
I've reported myself as sexy a number of times to them, and they can't seem to do anything about it

I find it odd that you include flags of fractions of the Spanish territory as passports in Chess.com. What was the basis for that? Is there any programmer from the team that is trying to pass a subliminal political claim? I invite Chess.com to correct that imprecision.

Based on my previous message, I am not taking any of the sides. I just find it odd that you include passports for fractions of Spains but you do not do the same for fractions of the US. In both countries you can find provinces or states with political and historical singularity. I believe that chess.com is not applying the same criteria for similar situations. This biased approach should be reconsidered.
Indeed. chess.com are happy to post political statements on some international issues so it's not unreasonable to request that they declare where their sympathies lie regarding other national conflicts and disputes.

It is not biased. In the states, we have governors of states not prime ministers or presidents of states.
Aren't you guys happy with all those Spanish speaking countries in Central and South America? How about Brazil? If South America can have Brazil, and Europe can have Portugal, where is the legitimate complaint?
If you want to be a separatist, go find an island. Make up your own rules and get along with yourself. The rest of us want to live in peace.

What is Essex?
Essex is a ceremonial county in the East of England.
You can read the rest of the wikipedia article if you need more information. Hope that helps.
No, it can't be that, since there's no independence movement involved with the English Essex.
What do you mean, anyway, "ceremonial county"? English counties are real and have real meaning for thir inhabitants. Actually, I found it.
Essex is a county in Massachusetts which was the centre of an independence movement (from the USA) in the War of Independence. They wanted to stay with Britain.
Oh, so you concede that chess.com are only awarding flags to regions with active independence movements and are thus entering into political discourse?

No. I can explain my reasoning.
Chess.com are sticking with the status quo and giving the benefit of any doubt to independence movements that seem legitimate.
What status quo?
Seem legitimate to whom?
Are we to assume that any independence movement in a region not awarded its own flag is deemed illegitimate by chess.com?

Doesn't matter. Your criticisms could be answered properly but since you don't make an argument out of them (let alone a good argument) it's unnecessary.
Inn other words, you're unable to debate the issue so you're going to run away. As you wish.
I think you're running away. If you want a debate, post a well-constructed criticism and not a lot of unfocussed rhetoric.
A well-constructed criticism like 'What is Essex'? I answered your question, now you answer mine
I'm not going to get involved in answering one-liners where I'm supposed to be the one to work out what you may or may not mean by them. That isn't how debate works.
Well, except at the lower levels, which isn't proper debate anyway. So you're running away and trying to hide that obvious fact.
You wish I was running away
It's almost like you've found yourself out of your intellectual depth.
