hi, how do I report people who just let the clock run down when they are losing or about to be check mated. I have had this happen a few times now. most recently with mo3taz1987. very frustrating. does Chess.com do anything about this? thanks, J

You click on the report button on their profile (!) and tell them what you are reporting the guy for.

You can also leave a note on their profile.

You aren't supposed to name them in the forum.

They might just be thinking

Definitely weren't thinking. It was checkmate next move with 3.5minutes to go and no activity.

Apologies for naming if I wasn't supposed to.

Thanks,

It's certainly a gray area. People who let the clock run down rather than resign have questionable character but it is THEIR clock time to do with as they please.  I've had 3 day/move daily games where my opponent was tremendously down in material and position and was sure to lose yet stretched the game out for weeks.  I wasn't happy he wasted our time, but it was his RIGHT within the rules to play to checkmate.
