Request Rematch After Winning

I am fairly new to chess and to the rules of rematch. Are used to think that it was just common courtesy to rematch to give your opponent a chance to play with white pieces. But now I realize that everyone has a different set of rules so I just gave up. Sometimes I rematch, sometimes I dont, and based on the comments in different forums on this subject, and there are many, I realize that there is no hard and fast rule for a rematch. Rematch if you want, or don't. It's pretty simple.

Some people request rematches because they enjoy playing against you. It's a compliment.

I never offer rematch, I always wait for the other guy to offer, and I almost always take the offer... at least once....I don t mind playing... I just hate it, when the other guy makes rude comments, if he does, I just don t play him anymore..

Yeah, some jerks will insult you when they lose. They're too immature to realize how pathetic it makes them look. I block them too. There are more than enough mature and emotionally stable people to play to waste one's time playing morons.
I mean, you can overthink anything like this. "When a slender person says hi to an overweight person on the streets, it may imply condescension, as if the overweight person doesn't deserve the right to be left alone." I don't think this kind of thinking will get our civilization anywhere though. 
When someone offers a rematch, they just want to play another game. The reason could be anything, but the fact is just this: they want to play another game. The losing party can accept or decline. Either way, nothing terrible happened, all is fine. 
Some people dig to deep into anything.
Sometimes people who have crushed me offer a rematch.
And I'm like "why not. I might learn something from a more experienced player, or, if I'm lucky, might win this one myself."

Your reading too much into why people accept or decline rematches. Who cares?
I don't think its an issue. People(winning or losing) may offer a rematch for various reasons. Nothing rude or bad about it unless they are publicly being disrespectful or mocking you(like typing 'noob', 'lololol' etc in chat)
I love the folks asking for a rematch and than losses again than asks for another one finally he gets one win he escapes and even declines when you ask for another rematch. just interesting to see it.
By the way, I changed my rematch policy since I created this thread. I rarely (if ever) requested rematches but routinely accepted my opponents' offers. That was until I started noticing all the angry comments on members' walls from opponents who were denied their God-given right to a rematch - and numerous forum threads created by the same poor losers. Nobody gets a rematch now.

Perhaps you should've omitted Alekhine. After all, he declined Capablanca's rematch challenge, instead playing Bogolyuwho twice.
Not really a big deal. Even if they do offer a rematch because they think they can win, I still don't believe that it's disrespectful because it makes sense that they want to maximise their winning chances.
Fair enough. If you would rather be devoured by Capa instead of Alekhine, who am I to object.

Well, if either Capablanca or Alekhine requested a rematch, you know what my answer would be. I wouldn't make an exception to my policy for them. Besides, why would I want to give up a plus record against one of the all-time greats?!
I wonder what your response would be if Gaioz Nigalidze requested a rematch(after a draw perhaps?) with you. Would you be as benevolent as you are being to Alekhine or Capa?

My benevolence does not extend to people requesting rematches. I would give Gaioz the same answer I would give Jose or Alexander: "Not only no but hell no." By the way, thanks for making me have to go through the trouble of googling Gaioz Nigalidze.
