resign or not?

when you are losing should you resign to say that you wont cause them the trouble of forcing checkmate, or should you play on to possibly win or let them play a fancy checkmate or something just in case they dont see it? please write your answer

At your current rating, play to the end. There's always the chance of a blunder, sudden Checkmate against the run of play, stalemate or time-out. As you improve, that chance will dwindle to the point that playing on only wastes the time of both players.

Just resign, if you want to save some time.
