From urban dictionary: A nonce is the British slang for a pedo. (Confused so I googled)

It was 2003, the world gathered and linked arms, to protest the prospect of war in Iraq. How the passions swelled. The fervour of the public reached a peak when millions of people in over 60 countries marched through the streets. Young and old turned out. A few weeks later, the United States was at war.

Grow up, children...

How would you feel if you had a game aborted against you just because you had the American flag, just to be informed that it was because of the wars in the middle east? Even though you are just a normal person who wants to live their life and has nothing to do with it. That is how the Russians feel when they are randomly aborted against.

Agree! Does he think that he's making some sort of statement against the government in doing this (he is not). Putin does not care about chess.com. He would not leave Ukraine if his people were banned from every website on Earth.

Yes, you do, nonce. I'm not a homophobe, you're just [removed -- MS]

Since this has continued down the political route and has escalated to personal attacks, locking.

Point taken, but I can't play anyone right now...my account has been restricted!

The flippant response is that now at least you aren't playing Russians!

The non-flippant response is: it's easy to take a moral stance when there's no consequences for you. When you know the consequences but take that stance anyway, then it is meaningful.
