So you bought a book, and are asking people how to play an opening that the book you have is supposed to teach?

Forktime

It dosent cover chigorin

Forktime

I like to get prifessional opinions aswell :)

Forktime

Wait wait. Who won?

pt22064

The Chigorin is certainly playable but I don't think it's a particularly strong opening.  Also many of the players who respond Nc6 to Reti are actually not familiar with Chigorin, and play the knight there because they want to play e5 and don't know what to do if you play Nf3 attacking the e5 square.

If you want to play Reti, you need to be prepared to transpose to other openings.  There are countless transpositions possible, and if you're not careful you can end up in your opponent's favorite opening with you not understanding the theory for that opening.

I know how to play chess... I know how to play slav, and orthodox aswell.

Forktime

It usually catches my oponents ofguard

Forktime

My understanding of chess is pretty good. My rating is improving very quickly

Forktime

Yeah, but my standard is going up, quickly. I dont care about online rating. Everybody uses engines there

Forktime

Why do engines keep saying im losing in this opening lol?
