Returning to the game.

Hey all, I'm new to Chess.com. However having a rudimentary understanding of the game of chess that I acquired as a kid, I thought I'd get back into it. I was curious if anyone had any guidelines for such a thing, recommendations, and maybe even a game or two to get back in the groove.

Go to you youtube and type in "Mato Chess" watch all of his videos. Kevin from this website is pretty awesome too.

I was at sub 1150 and after 3 days of watching those videos I made a rating push up to 1360ish over the course of a few days.

I even managed to get an 8 move check mate that I saw with a bishop sacrafice. Something I never thought I would be able to do period.

As always good luck with your chess

Thanks a lot folks! I've played a few matches (and have promptly been handed my ass) and I've begun to notice that I'm very passive in my matches, not really attacking.
