Yes the World Chess Championship is rigged. FIDE has been homogenising chess board surfaces and removing aggressive shotmaking from the tour. No longer can Carlsen play his signature aggressive style of chess which draws in many fans from around the world. This Championship has shown us FIDE continues to reward defensive play over aggressive play. Clearly FIDE feels that Carlsen's dominance is threatening the future of the sport. Shameless move by the international governing body of chess. They don't even choose to purchase real leather seats.
