I was away from chess for quite a few months now (played a few casual blitz games ) . His latest speedrun popped up on my YouTube today . Watched only 15-20 mins of it before I went on to do something else . At 0:12 in his video he says " You guys thought I was gone forever , but little did you know that I am back " .
Fast forward a few hours ahead . I get the news on instagram that he's no more .
I wish he rests in peace , and his family the strength in this tough period . He was a nice , respectful and humble person. I had watched 100s of his videos since the past 3-4 years . The chess world will really miss him . You could genuinely connect to him regardless of your playing strength . You could be 500 or 2000 , his videos would always connect . Idk how to explain , but it just feels very hollow right now .
This seems a bit personal and heartbreaking.
