So sad, I knew him from tournaments I played when I was in Junior High and elementary school. He was so talented, and such a sad loss for the chess community, and for US Chess too. I hope someone dedicates a chess opening in his honor. He had many great opening ideas.

So sad-- The circumstances surround his death are awful and heartbreaking.

We should have an annual Danya tournament or send somthing nice to the Charlotte chess club (or both).

i watched his last stream and he seemed fine just a little tired but little did i know...

its so shocking

Rest in peace Danya ,you'll forever be in our hearts. Danya was my favorite chess streamer and his youtube vids lifted me up a lot during quarantine ,learned a lot from him.
