I saw multiple accounts stuck at 100 elo that play every day and multiple that are stuck between 400-1200
have no understanding exactly what you are talking about and i mean that in a sincere way i trying to develop the flank opening system it does not seem to always work but i do get to about move 10 before i get into trouble -- except when someone uses that bishop and king attack thing and end the games in three /four moves - that i cannot defend against using this type of opening i understand that - winning or losing is not the issue for me anymore i know i will lose against a better player iam just trying to get somehing that defends against most players beating in the first 10-15 moves thats all
having said that sunday night same again as always lost more than i won -- now down to ubder 120 -- 100 here we come i guess
Concepts aren't your problem. Your problem is you don't think before playing a move. You blunder pieces like mad, don't see hanging pieces and so on.
I reviewed your last game. You blunder a knight for a pawn then the opponent blunders his bishop by putting it in your queen's sights. You proceed not to take it and then after the opponent moves his bishop, you don't even take the knight that one of your pawns could have won.
All this in 13 seconds. Take more time, think before moving your pieces and identify threats, see what's hanging, etc.
You'll never improve if you keep playing like this.
well i took you advice and went back to my old opening and well did a little better early tonight
still most wins where against players who really bad so i got lucky in the picks this time we will see later tonight before bed if my luck holds up
and yes to above i do make blunders right and left i am thinking to much about getting my next move played more than the consequents of what would happened next but then time is always running and i need to get so many moves down in a few seconds as possible so i can think later that pound of flesh always comes in play

bro pause
tuesday morning more wins than losses so ok i guess -- won a couple on the other player missed several check mates or stalemates at least but i will keep going with opening for now see how long before the bottom drops out again and iam back to under 150
Tuesday afternoon i didn't think i could keep going -- lost more than i won under 200 again - just played poorly too tired to keep going mads nap is needed see you tonight maybe things wil be different
TUESDAY NIGHT GOING VERY BADLY LOST THREE GAMES IN ROW AGAINST 100/105/115/ PLAYERS -- SEEMS WHAT WAS CLEARLY WORKING BEFORE DOES NOT WORK TONIGHT WILL TRY GO BACK TO MY OTHER OPENING AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS TILL I GET UNDER 150 THEN I WILL STOP FOR TONIGHT
just what i used to use but thats not working either -- so now that i have lost all my games tonight and dropped from 200 to 119 i think its time to quit getting really depressed now and my meds are starting to kick ---- sure wish i could find a player that i could play against that understands how to teach this game without demanding money -- but iam afraid that is a tall order in these times and days maybe after a sleep i will decide what to do stay or go --
yes i have a chess book but i have trouble reading and comprehending written word - so the couple of books i have little diagrams that i can absorb --- about the free advice its a steady diet of mentorship is what i need but that is too much to ask of most people and i understand that maybe i looking into book with lots of diagrams --could you recommend any ????? i tried children chess books but they just show the very basics of how to play the game not any theory or patterns to follow in diagram forms --- anyways thanks for the advice ---
Wednesday morning something happened different i played three winning games in a row very unusual for me that's for sure -- must have hit three really bad, players by luck in a row -- will try a little later this morning again after doctors appointment-- maybe luck will hold out -- who knows eh???
I thought the opening was better in those games - you did away with the flank nonsense and the "do the hokey cokey" routine the queen, and instead you focussed on the centre and got your knights out early. That's good. You were still too passive IMO in that you chose not to make a 2 square pawn move at the beginning (eg 1. d4 or 1. e4) so you surrendered space to your opponent and were forced on to the defensive in the early part of the game.
The other thing I liked was that you didn't bring yourr queen out early. Bringing your queen out early is usually a bad idea, and is a beginner mistake, as you are putting it in danger when there are so many pieces on the board. So keeping the queen safe early on and letting pawns, knights and bishops handle the early game is usually better.
thanks for the advice i will remember i hope what you said -- got back from doctor appt.-good news down to 12 pills a day from 15 --- wow !!!!!!!!!!! what a improvement -- not !!!!!!
i was right my three wins before where a anomaly- just lost three in row now queen thing is right on i lost my queens in every game too early and then it was over for me -- must not move that queen before move 13/15 will try a few more before lunch right now see what happens
time to give up and take a break thanks for all the feedback -- i must find another game before i go crasy
i have decided to just watch the forums for a while but not play anymore not worth the pain i suffer every time i think iam going ahead -- so no more games for a least a while -- just forums reading and commenting -- it is easy to do - i will still look for a lesson provider -- and maybe keep up and still look for a better beginner club -- to all i have offended in my play now nothing to worry about
True he needs to stop doing that lol
