monday morning was going ok then bang hit those !@ queen and bishop attack specialist-- i get so mad when i play them and then ban them -- but i really have no retort to their play so i should just let it go ------- and resign as soon as i see it coming which most times i don't - just not going to let it bother me anymore just another loss i can't do anything about -- make up for it with another two games -- wil play to get above 150 again then take break

If you're having a lot of trouble with any attack you see a lot, I'd recommend going into analysis, recreating the attack in analysis, and finding a good defense to use in future games.

Also once you get high enough rating you'll encounter less players who just learnt about scholar's mate and attempt it every game and more positional players who care about long-term advantages.

The OP (original poster) keeps repeating the same scenario over and over again. Obviously he or she is not heeding the advice of many, many posters as the "high and mighty rating" has not improved significantly. My advice is to stop posting on this thread, play chess against the bots, stop complaining about losing rating points and stop quitting games prematurely.
The OP should play against a weaker bot and learn to control the center, develop pieces and try to not to give the game away by not looking before they move and capture free pawns or gain pawns while trading pieces. If the above can't be done then the OP should really try a different hobby as this thread has become a tiresome waste of everyone's time and effort.

Stop it, He is grinding like a true champion, Being stuck and gatekept by rigged ELO system.
There is no rigged ELO system, OP needs to learn, same with you Janko, learn rook and king checkmate Janko. Also, Janko, learn openings and play rapid. Also post your response to this on your thread because this thread doesn't need to be turned into an argument about whether the game is rigged.

1. He 100% knows rook endgames
2.ew why rapid he wouldn't be able to post games where he flags people
this afternnoon made it to over 160 -- really not so pleased with all the negative vibs from some players on this forum -- yes i know iam not very good-- so be it i guess

Docker I must admit I am at a loss to understand how you ever hope to improve when you refuse to learn a defence to the simplest tactic.
I looked at 3 of your losses. In these games you fell into the scholar’s mate, gave away a free knight on move 6, and made many basic opening mistakes such as moving a piece twice, capturing away from the center, and others.
if you really want to improve, stop playing blitz chess. Then watch some videos or read some books on how masters play the opening. Don’t try to memorize specific opening sequences; focus on general opening principles.
I am reminded of a person who says I know how to hold a golf club. What do I have to do to break par?
it will take work to learn. Going through your games, it does not seem that you have put any work into improving. That is okay if you just want to stay at your level. But if you actually want to improve, there are lots of things you can do.

The OP is missing the point. We all want to raise our ratings, but that's not why we play chess. Our rating is a result of our playing, not the other way around. Stop posting in this thread, spend time playing and spend time living. Forget about telling the world about your chess rating regardless of how low or high it is. Just play. If you want to improve, fine, we all do. Get over it.
wow you are a nasty person i see -- live and let live --- i just post here to see my own words and my thoughts not for others to rip me down -- if someone wants to help i appreciate the time taken -- but iam not here to seek anything just vent my frustration on how badly i play - to be read by anyone who cares to come for a ride -- and not belittle me or my chess play - and if there is a point i am missing well i missed it i guess---- on to the next game and the problems i will have in that one -- this kind of feedback is why so many people don't input here and give feedback -- but then thats another story and i have to get to playing chess so i can get back over 160 before my meds kick in
i have decided that the way of current forums postings here and my depression on playing has made think i should just quit so with that i will go to another site maybe there things are better maybe not --- i am just leaving

Get a grip. If people giving you a little bit of truth are "nasty", then fine.

Not really he's still playing chess tho so saying "go play chess instead of talk on forums "is a bit weird when he's actually playing chess

This thread is 2 years old. How many times did the poster say he is playing the weaker bots and learning to control the center and develop his pieces on a consistent basis?
We all cry a bit in our beer when we tilt or think something funny was going on, but for 2 years?

I would be happy to play the OP in unrated daily 24 hour games if it would help, all he has to do is ask. When I saw a less than desirable move I would point it out and say why. We could all take turns as a matter of fact and really give the OP some help.

You have been provided with help, and knowing how badly you play is essential to improving, if you don't know what mistakes you made, you can't attempt to stop making them. use analysis and think about your move. and venting your frustration instead of listening to help doesn't help you improve.

Doker, I'm curious was there anything in particular which was going differently in life for you not long ago when you got up to 275? From what it looks like, you were doing a chess school type thing. Maybe a change in meds also? It shows me you have the potential for pattern recognition and improving your play, but you also don't seem to retain what you learned for very long. I think it's possible this is down to meds.

Seems like he's abandoned this thread.
Still, like you I was puzzled by how much better he was playing a few weeks ago. His openings were much improved - he was trying to control the centre. Then suddenly it came crashing down and he went back to his old way of playing. That was a shame - I really hoped he'd made a breakthrough.
late Sunday afternoon still under 150 win two lose two type of thing
