this  morning 5  games losing  all over 25 moves except one under 5  moves --i hate players like that - just get started and they crush me

need to break the 30 moves level regularly - just not happening -- going to try new method for me -- maybe it will help --

So I checked your stats and it turns out you lose too many games in Blitz. I think you might have to stop playing blitz and try to learn better tactics. Also check for best moves and I recommend play 15|10 or 30 minute game so you can have more time to think on that.

you are right  i will go longer soon  - playing 5 minutes games gives me about 4/5 games per session to play thats all the time i have at one sitting -- longer games just mean i lose the same amount of games  over longer periods of time  really no difference except less bang for my limited buck- time wise

having said that today -- sunday morning i won 2 games in a row thats a first  -- and third  game was over 30 moves  loss so it was a slight very small thinly sliced piece of the pie improvement - using a new way to open -- more of a defensive take - and then wait till other makes a big mistake or gets frustrated and times out- will try later this around noon to see if i can continue this movement -- maybe get 3/4 games over 40 moves before i lose who knows ?

I looked into your games and at the start you moved pieces very badly (undeveloped, bad openings, and hanging pieces). I recommend you should go to lessons so that way you play better games and learn from your mistakes (or maybe YouTube). Also 5 minute games takes fast thinking. I don't recommend you play blitz because your chess skills might be significantly worse. Play rapid games such as 10, 10|15, or 30 minute games so you have more time to think for best moves. Don't play too fast btw.

online lessons don't seem to work me maybe real lesson by real person would  would but online stuff just doesn't seem to tranlate into real games for me  -- trying to find my way - its slow -- very slow -- and depressing but i keep at it - i got nothing else- my poker playing is in the toilet and i lose  small amounts of money that add up - so have had to stop that -- my "go" game is worse than my chess game if that can be -- so i will try again tomorrow till there are no tomorrow's -- tonight 5 games all over 25 moves some over 30 moves  meds starting to take hold one more game then bed its after 1am -- maybe monday morning will bring those 5games  of  35 moves duration i looking for

well its early this monday morning going to the dentist to have teeth pulled -- not looking to that for sure --just two games one win and one game i made 36 moves before loss so semi good start today maybe when i come back i will have a different outlook ---ha ha ha ha - see you later

Lessons are trying to help you learn chess. You are not doing lessons/watching videos correctly. Also, did you even play correctly? You should take my advice, do some lessons, and understand what they say. And you still keep playing blitz games. How amazing... :/

notarrowss -- thanks for the advice -- more of a dictation of advice - but i will take it -   tomorrow i will  view three l video lessons and see what does for my game -- maybe it will help i hope so

tonight had three wins and three losses - wins where not so good wins two where time outs -- i really don't consider those wins ( really its the other guy not using time allotments properly) and my three losses where all under 6 moves - with queen attacking me before i get my pieces set- all three games -- some people like that way to play -- i don't --especially when you have a much higher rating than me -(wow sure sounds like crying in one's own spilled milk thing)- will try a few games before the meds kick in ( iam depressed tonight just found out  lord of the ring tv season last friday night was season ender) -- so- guess more losing chess on friday nights till i find something to watch - -at least one more sunday tv show to watch- then it will be sunday night losing chess  games -- ok back to a few last games tonight -- more defensive more defensive moves

For #133: it happens sometimes. We have to play properly so we can improve our skills; lessons is recommended. I think you should study some book openings in the internet. Let's see...

30 seconds+ every move if you cant control your own impulse to move fast you will never learn.

this  tuesday morning had three games over 35 moves - so some success- will try a couple more after lunch and a lay down -- trying more defensive tactics which seem to work for now

as far as magpi showing an  example  its shows - i hate fast attack moves -- not part of my chess world -- 6/7 moves then win -- whats the point-- your going to win anyways thats a given -- why not make it last  drag me into a crucial error or something -- or are you in a hurry to kill as many lowlife players as you can -- guess there  is honour in that -----???????   sorry about my rant -- have to watch some videos on you tube about that

4.RxQ looks good, but it might sideline your Rook on the edge of the board. happy.png

just dont blunder your pieces. if it is a rock dont trade it with a knight or a bishop. if it is a queen dont trade it at all. in the opening move your e and d pawns. than move your knights and bishops to safe squares. if the opponents made a mistake or hanged a piece witch they will do. take it.

Yes it's improbably a mistake in such a tricky position.

And what about the end position? A mere mortal would think there is only 1 legal move, taking the queen. But that might win the game, and dokerbohm found a way out of this predicament.

two real wins and two games over 40 moves   my afternoon nap had a bonus i guess

In the example I shown, you were completely winning, because you have only 1 legal move, and that is to take the opponent's queen, No other move is possible. Except you found a way: you resigned.

yes magipi you are right - in that  example upon further review of it i was stupid - just gave up because the play i was working on collapsed so i gave up something i do in chess and in life i guess  big weakness

just had more surgery yesterday to fix a dental problem that had to be fixed before i get radiated at the clinic next month after the ninth --guess when you get zapped your gum and jaws go mussy and they can't do surgery on them -- so i got lucky  getting  someone elses cancellation --to get it attend to - all day yesterday

(after the teeth where pulled and gum line scaped) and early this morning been out of it  the sedation and me don't do well together  this thurday afternnoon i feeling much better even if i did have a soft mushy lunch( watery soup--  and a ensure drink)  iam  ready for a few games now see you on the boards-
