I've been taught that rooks are better than bishops but aren't bishops superior in the early game? Aren't I at an advantage with bishops over rooks since they're so restricted early on anyways? This is one of my games and I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some feedback.

On move nine I think what killed was the b4 and G4 squares weren't protected by the a and h pawns

I wouldn't say you won by necessarily beating his bishops for rooks, but mainly due to bad playing on his part. Though I'm sure your "in-orthodox" tactic worked well against the opponent- s he clearly didn't know how to play without bishops, or with rooks.
