I  played a game against a player called [NAME DELETED by Moderator] today. It was closely contested and in time trouble I found a good plan but blundered.

He asks for a rematch, then we play two moves before he call me an

"idiot" and leaves.

Is this typical on chess.com?  Are members allowed to behave in such unwarranted

and rude fashion. I enjoy the site, but players like [NAME DELETED by Moderator] are taking me away from it.

Has anyone else encountered abuse like this? What do I do about it?

My goodness! This must take the prize for hilarious statement of the week!! Okay, as to the question of rematches, I am often offered rematches and I take them with all gladness. In fact, most of my rating was built on match situations--I mean playing 5, 6 or 10 games against a single opponent. Luckily, none of these turned out sour.

In my case I had a great game and lost by fractions of a second. Immediately he used "faget" and "monkey" one after the other. I replied, "Hahaha", "Thank you" respectively. You could try my technique in your next encounter, but leaving chess.com? Naaahhhh!!!

It happened to me too, someone asks for a rematch and when you accept they abort.

If he is rude to you just return the sentiment.

Makes no sense. I take their names, and next time  I see them, I stick it to them.

Mistake, sir. Sitting behind a computer half way across the globe anyone can hurl all kinds of insults and say anything and get away with it. It's a waste of time! If you can't get this person to meet you face-to-face and say what he wants to say in your face don't give yourself a heart attack. Move on.
