Rude opponents

Since coming to Chess.com, I've seen several posts about opponents who make rude comments while playing chess.

Often times words like 'sportsmanship', 'professional' and 'mature' are thrown around.

Today I was reading about Aron Nimzowitsch on Wikipedia and found this passage:

There are many entertaining anecdotes regarding Nimzowitsch—some less savory than others. For example, he once missed first prize in a tournament in Berlin by losing to Sämisch, and when it became clear he was going to lose the game, Nimzowitsch stood up on the table and shouted, "Gegen diesen Idioten muss ich verlieren!" ("That I should lose to this idiot!").

BTW - Does anyone know if he ever wrote anything other than chess material?

One of the things I like about My System is the way he creates great imagery just with his words:

Chapter 6 - The Elements of Endgame Strategy

"It should be pointed out to the beginner at the very start, that the endgame does not merley serve up untasty fragments lefe over from the rich feast of the middlegame....Very juch the reverse, all the player's qualities as amdn and artist are demanded for it."

Sorry, I think you misunderstood.

I was just giving an example of how a famous and respected chess player could sometimes let chess get the better of them.

Personally, I don't mind of people trash talk during chess. I can give as well as I receive.
