 You seem to be enjoying the freedoms and security of our borders, Do you hate "us" or do you hate yourself?

Not that I agree with Tryst's opinions on America, but I don't comprehend what the families of the Army have to do with anything.  

You must live in some fairy-wonderland, since it is quite clear that Americans have been slaughtering people in far-away lands for quite some time. On command. Without empathy, nor thought as to who they are serving.

 It's a volunteer Army, those people must think America is pretty damn good to risk their lives for it. How do you think a Mother of some soldier who died in service woulld feel about people like trysts trashing the country? 

So now our borders extend to the outer contours of Iraq? Interesting.

Anyway, who says they all love America so much?  Most of the conscripts don't have any real choice but to sign-up in this land of bountiful opportunity.

Bush/Cherney put us there. Obama got us out, as promised.

And left plenty of contractors behind, who apparently nowadays are immune to prosecution.  And he ramped up the Af-Pak wars, starting a fresh folly in Libya just for good measure.

 So have the English, the French, the Spanish, the Portuguese, the Russians, ect.  America is no more special than Europe in this regard.  If we want to be equivalent murderors, we have to do WAY more slaughtering than what we are doing now.  It is not even close to those countries.  We are not in any way special.

 Obama has allowed the oil companies to open a pipeline in Iraq which was announced last month.  So what was our war really for in the end?

It is the same as the Vietnam War.  We went in there and used the rubber produced there to pay for the war.

Actually the system of economic dominance that the U.S. set up following the Second World War, particularly after the 1970s, was a historical first.  So, you are special in some sense.  Don't be too hard on yourselves.

(and of course, saying "they did it first" is not any kind of justification for anything)

 You're the one that lives in a fairy-land. A pacifist demagogue who lets other people defend her territory and then shames them for having blood on their hands. Also, it is not done without empathy or thought. That is why many soldiers come home with post-traumatic stress syndrome. Yes Virginia there are bad guys in the world and they want to take away your little fairy-land just like they took away the twin towers.

Well as for economic dominance, following WWII, it effectively destroyed the industries of every country except for a few, including the U.S. giving them a huge advantage in terms of economics. 

In the 70s, Nixan was brilliant in his negotiations with the Middle East oil lords in making a deal of buying oil from them.  In exchange, they had to sell oil in U.S. dollars, giving a strong backing to the dollar and leading it to be the dominant world currency by far.  Thankfully, it seems to be the only thing keeping the dollar afloat considering our economic situation and the fact that precious metals do not back our dollar.

I know people like you exist, because candidates for "President of the U.S.A." are actually promising they will attack Iran if elected. After murdering a million people in Iraq, "Candidates for the Presidency" are demanding Iraq to pay reparations.
