He Fell for the scholars mate at around 400-500 elo like how does this happen you should have learned how to defend against this at like 200 elo

It’ll work for a long time, shame to say. Many people don’t learn how to defend against this properly until even 800.

I learned how to defend against scholars mate and not blunder fools mate at 250elo (OTB). After 600elo, people usually stop playing it
