Self Analysis - Custom Board Set up

Is there a way to start the self analysis tool with a clear board and only add the pieces that you want?  For example, I am reading a chess book with many games where the analysis begins during the mid game.  Is there a way I can use the tool to only set up those pieces to start the analysis.

Thanks.

Yes you can.  Go to the analysis section (https://www.chess.com/analysis) and select the "Setup" option.  From there, you will see a handy trash can icon which will clear the board for you.

Yes, one of the options is Setup and Clear Board

As soon as I use the "Clear Board" button, the "Finish vs Computer" button disappears and doesn't come back. Even after adding both kings to the board.

I have to start a new analysis board to restore the button, and clearing will again break it.

The workaround seems to slowly remove each piece, without using the clear board button. Seems like a bug.

I can cause the issue within the beta but not outside of it. Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

I just dragged the pieces directly on to the board, replacing pieces without removing them first. And then when I clicked practice vs computer, I looked at the computers rating. It was 3200. no way in a million years am I going to come anywhere close to beating that bot. Ever.

There's an icon at the bottom to change the bot to any bot you have access to or a lower level of the default engine.
